MESQUITE – Junior Raheem Beck had 119 total yards and two touchdowns to lead Mesquite Horn over Mesquite 24-16 in District 10-6A at Memorial Stadium.

Beck scored on a 78-yard run to give Mesquite Horn (5-2, 2-1) an early 7-3 lead in the first quarter. Justin Underwood scored on an 8-yard touchdown pass from Beck to make the score 17-10 in the third quarter.

Mesquite (3-4, 1-2) capped off the opening drive with a 22-yard field goal by Saul Barco. Jamarion Woods had 125 yards receiving and two touchdowns, one each from Jared Torres and Sir’Maje Wallace. Wallace ended with 156 yards passing in the loss.

Mesquite Horn scored 17 unanswered points in the second half to put the game out of reach. Horn’s defense held Mesquite to just 44 yards rushing, while forcing four turnovers including three interceptions.
