Mckinney-- Braswell running back Brailyn Strickland ran in the winning score with just 23 seconds left in the game to complete the comeback and give his team the win over McKinney Boyd, 39-32, Thursday night.

Strickland gained 246 yards and three touchdowns on 39 carries for Braswell (3-7, 1-6 in District 5-6A). Quarterback Nicholas Johnson added 386 passing yards and two touchdown of his own.

Boyd (2-8, 2-5) kicker Caleb Sempebwa fueled the offense with four kicks on the night. His first two were followed up by a Sheldon King touchdown to end the first quarter up 13-0.

A Strickland touchdown and a 39-yard field goal by Matt Rodas with no time remaining in the half shrunk the lead and sent Braswell into the half down 13-10.

Braswell receiver Ja' Ryan Wallace caught two touchdowns in the third quarter, finishing with 173 yards on the day. Strickland's two second-half scores proved too much for the Boyd offense to overcome.

Boyd was led by running back Sheldon King who rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown, and quarterback Ryan Shackleton who tallied just under 200 total yards.
