ARLINGTON — Little Elm quarterback Kellen Tasby ran for a 2-point conversion in overtime to secure a 42-41 win over Arlington Bowie at Wilemon Field Friday night.
Arlington Bowie (0-1) led 27-7 at halftime but Little Elm (1-0) stormed back in the third quarter behind two EJ Hawthorne interceptions.
Kellen Tasby threw for 344 yards on 28 for 42 passing, hitting eight different receivers for Little Elm. Franklyn Johnson led Little Elm with eight receptions for 94 yards and also converted a touchdown pass on a flea flicker in the third quarter.
Senior quarterback DeAngelo Ponder led Arlington Bowie with 306 yards in the air on 20 of 29 passing.
