MANSFIELD – Kennen Miller passed for 230 yards and three touchdowns to lead Mansfield Lake Ridge to a 50-27 victory over Mansfield Summit at Vernon Newsom Stadium Friday night.

Jamaal Hall contributed 186 all-purpose first half yards for Lake Ridge, including a 74-yard touchdown reception and a 79-yard kickoff return.

Lake Ridge required just 14 plays to score touchdowns on their first three possessions. Freshman Raycine Guillory opened the scoring with a 61-yard rushing touchdown. Miller followed with the 74-yard strike to Hall, then added a one-yard rushing touchdown to give Lake Ridge (1-0) a 21-7 lead.

Lake Ridge, with their third win in their last four matchups with Summit, outscored Summit (0-1) by the same 21-7 margin in both the first and second quarters on their way to a 42-14 halftime lead.

Quarterback Joseph Williams led Summit (0-1) with 170 yards rushing yards and three touchdowns.
