WAXAHACHIE -- Receiver Keith Abney II had two receiving touchdowns and a punt return for another score to lead Waxahachie over Mansfield Legacy 31-21 at Lumpkins stadium.

Abney's 80-yard punt return was his second touchdown in the first quarter, helping Waxahachie (5-2, and 2-2 District 11-6A) jump out to a 24-0 lead by halftime.

Down 31-6 in the fourth quarter, Legacy attempted to rally, scoring 15 unanswered points to cut the lead to 10. However, following a 35-yard touchdown catch by Khyree Brown, Legacy failed to recover an onside kick and Waxachie ran out the clock.

Abney's final touchdown of the game came in the third quarter, on a 24-yard pass from Ramon McKinney Jr to give Waxahachie a 31-6 lead heading into the fourth. McKinney Jr. was 3-for-3 passing with 53 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 48 rushing yards.

Marcus Hayes led Legacy with 105 total yards and a touchdown.
