ROCKWALL — Quarterback Caleb Hoover threw two touchdowns and ran for one more to lead Rockwall-Heath to a 45-35 win over Mansfield Lake Ridge on Friday night at Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium.

Trailing 14-7 late in the first quarter, Rockwall-Heath running back Brittan Snider ran for a 4-yard touchdown, beginning a 17-0 run that gave Rockwall-Heath a 10-point halftime lead. Mansfield Lake Ridge cut the lead to just three points on three separate occasions in the second half, but Rockwall-Heath held on for the win.

Snider ran for 130 yards and a touchdown and fellow Rockwall-Heath running back Malachi Tuesno added 117 yards and two scores on the ground. Rockwall-Heath’s Peyton Wingfield had a game high 136 receiving yards while Fletcher Fierro and Elliott Finley each caught a touchdown pass.

Mansfield Lake Ridge quarterback Kennen Miller had 287 passing yards and a passing touchdown along with a trio of rushing touchdowns on the night. Jamaal Hall was Miller’s top target with 95 receiving yards and a touchdown on four catches.
