Sophomore quarterback Kennen Miller threw for 544 yards and five touchdowns to lead Mansfield Lake Ridge (2-4, 1-2 District 11-6A) over Dallas Skyline 49-0 on Friday night at Forester Field.

It did not take long for Lake Ridge to find the endzone as it scored on a 71-yard pass from Miller to receiver Bryce Marcus on the second play of the game. The play was one of five touchdowns scored by Lake Ridge in the first quarter-- three of which were passes of at least 70 yards which helped build a 39-0 lead at the half.

Skyline's offense drove deep into Lake Ridge territory twice in the first half, but the first was halted by the Lake Ridge defense at the 10-yard line, while the second ended with a fumble at the 11.

Marcus and fellow receivers Jamaal Hall and Tanner Grimes each had over 100 receiving yards and at least one touchdown catch. Miller and running back Kaleb Washington each ran for a touchdown as well.

Skyline (0-6,0-3) quarterback LaTraevian Freeman finished with 181 yards on 15-of-29 passing in the loss.
