JUSTIN — Jake Wilson's three touchdown passes were more than enough to lift Byron Nelson to a 31-0 Week 2 win over McKinney Boyd at Northwest ISD Stadium Thursday on Senior Night.

Wilson was efficient on the night, completing 75 percent of his 29 passes for 249 yards and three scores — one each to Landon Ransom-Goelz, Gavin McCurley and Draden Gorman. After a 7-0 lead after the first quarter, Nelson (2-0) found its offensive rhythm as Wilson connected with McCurley first his first touchdown throw, which went for 39 yards. Nelson scored on its next two possessions to take a 28-0 lead into the half.

Nelson's defense was dominant as well, giving up only six first downs and 94 yards to McKinney Boyd (0-2), forcing six three-and-outs on the night.

Sheldon King led Boyd with 17 carries for 52 yards.
