Frisco -- Quarterback Matteo Quattrin passed for 208 yards and two touchdowns to lead Frisco Independence to a 36-16 victory over Frisco Memorial Friday night at the Ford Center at the Star.

After a Nathan Alexander field goal got Independence (7-0, 3-0 in 3-5A Division II) on the board, Quattrin connected with wide receiver McKenzie West for a 35 yard score. He then found tight end Jake Simpson over the middle for a 24 yard touchdown near the end of the second quarter. Independence lead 17-3 at the half and never looked back.

The Independence running back tandem of Ude Enyeribe and Keith Rockwell keep the chains moving throughout the game by rushing for a combined 224 yards and three touchdowns. Jake Simpson finished the game with 5 catches for 109 yards and the one score.

Memorial (1-7, 0-4), was led by quarterback Jack Gierkey, who finished the night with 87 passing yards and another 15 on the ground. True Booker was Memorial's leading rusher, piling up 83 yards on 15 carries.
