PLANO - Dermot White rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns, and caught three passes for another 99 yards to lead Plano West (2-6, 1-4) past cross-town rival Plano East (3-5, 0-5) in a thrilling District 6-6A game at John Clark Stadium.

Donovan Martin scored the go-ahead score on a 1-yard run with 6:27 left.

Plano East turned the game around when it scored on its first two second-half possessions. A 6-yard pass from Drew Devillier to Rushil Patel and a 13-yard run by Jaylon Hatcher put it ahead 21-17. Plano East was driving for another score when Johnnie Ingram stole the ball from the hands of a Plano East runner and scampered 77 yards for a touchdown on the final play of the third quarter to give Plano West a 24-21 lead.

Plano East immediately countered with a 65-yard pass from Devillier to Patel, but Martin's score proved decisive. Plano East had one final possession, but was forced to punt. Plano West took over and ran out the clock.

Drew Devillier finished the game for Plano East with 164 passing yards and three touchdowns. Jaylon Hatcher rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown and Rushil Patel caught seven passes for 119 yards and two scores.

Plano West took a 17-7 lead into the locker room at halftime on the strength of 14- and 5-yard touchdown runs by White, and a 25-yard field goal by Rishabh Sajjan. Two of those scores were set up by the Plano West defense that recovered a muffed punt and a fumble.
