WYLIE -- Tristan Lee ran for 152 yards and three touchdowns while adding a 26-yard receiving score to lead Wylie East to a 51-12 victory over Garland Lakeview Centennial Friday night at Wylie ISD Stadium. With the victory, Wylie East secured the District 9-6A championship, remaining undefeated in its first season at the 6A level.

In a game delayed by 95 minutes due to lightning in the area, Wylie East (9-0, 7-0) was dominant from the beginning of the game, forcing four turnovers while taking a 34-0 lead at the half. The heavy rain affected ball control all evening, as Lakeview Centennial (4-5, 3-4) fumbled seven times while Wylie East fumbled four.

Terrell Washington, Jr. ran for 109 yards and two touchdowns to continue his dominant season. Wylie East finished with 282 total rushing yards on the night.

Lakeview Centennial was led by Jack Dustin, who ran for 116 yards on 16 carries, and Kendrick Sanders, who threw two touchdowns in relief.
