GARLAND — Devonta Crow ran for 95 yards and three touchdowns to lead Rowlett to a 49-14 win over South Garland on Friday at Homer B. Johnson Stadium.

Leading 21-7 at the break, Rowlett (1-5, 1-3 in 9-6A) broke the game open with 28 points in the second half. Crow ran for his third touchdown with 2:11 remaining in the third quarter to increase his team's advantage to 42-7.

Rowlett's offense finished with 407 total yards in the game, with quarterback Andrew Ellison also accounting for three total touchdowns. His go-to target was James Okolo, who led Rowlett with 105 yards on eight receptions. Okolo also had a receiving touchdown in the first quarter.

South Garland (1-5, 0-4) was able to keep the game close early, using an 83-yard scoring drive to cut the deficit to 14 points before the halftime break. Alvaro Gonzales led South Garland with 112 yards rushing, scoring his team's final touchdown with 3:11 left on the clock.
