JUSTIN – Bryson Spriggs rushed for 152 yards and one touchdown to lead Hebron (2-1) over Northwest Eaton (1-2) 54-40 in a non-district game at Northwest ISD Stadium.

Hebron pulled away in the fourth quarter, scoring on four out of five possessions. PJ Crayton helped lead the way, throwing two touchdown passes to JJ Hatcher and Trenton Bronaugh late in the game to seal the victory.

Hebron took an early 7-0 lead as Braxton Baker dove in from three yards out to cap off their opening 11-play 79 yard drive. They then pushed the lead to 14-0 as Braxton Baker connected with Micah Greene from 18 yards out for an early lead in the second quarter. From there Eaton’s Noah Lugo came alive rushing for two touchdowns and throwing for another in the second quarter to put Eaton ahead 20-16 with 1:39 left in the half. Hebron quickly responded, driving the field in 3 plays to take a 23-20 lead at the half.

Hebron was also led by Braxton Baker who threw for 127 yard and 2 scores while rushing for another 17 yards and one touchdown. Through the air, Micah Greene caught 6 catches for 99 yards and a score and Trenton Bronaugh pitched in another 5 catches for 54 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Eaton was led by Noah Lugo who threw for 284 yards and 3 scores and rushed for another 93 yards and two touchdowns including a 76 yard touchdown run in the second quarter. His favorite targets on the night were Jaden Platt who finished 7 catches for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns as well as Mason Stubbe who finished with 5 catches for 106 yards.
