CARROLLTON -- Noah Normand ended the night with three touchdowns to help lead Birdville (3-1, 2-0 in District 5-5A Div. I) over Carrollton Newman Smith 44-6 at Standridge Stadium on Thursday night.

Carrollton Newman Smith (2-1, 0-1) scored its lone touchdown on a 77-yard pass from Pierson Rougeau to Demonte Greene with 6:29 remaining in the third, putting it down 21-6. But a Rodrigo Figueroa field goal and Normand's third touchdown pass of the night closed out the quarter.

Normand threw his first touchdown on an 88-yard pass to Triston Johnson with 2:22 remaining before the end of the half. Normand already had 254 yards passing yards when going into halftime to be up 14-0.

Normand finished the night with 385 yards passing. Johnson finished the night with 137 yards receiving and two touchdowns along with Sekou Konate who had 97 yards receiving.

Demonte Greene had 131 yards receiving.
