FRISCO -- Frisco Wakeland was able to block two punts and return each for a touchdown en route to a 59-21 victory over Frisco Liberty on Thursday.

The pair of blocked punts came in the first quarter, where Frisco Wakeland (3-3, 2-2 Dist. 6-5A) built a 28-14 advantage. Barrett Kennedy's 8-yard return resulted in the first special teams touchdown, while Tristan Simmons scored the second on a 22-yard return.

Those quick plays combined with 183 passing yards and three passing scores from Brennan Myer helped lead Frisco Wakeland to a 49-14 halftime lead.

Myer finished the game with 207 yards through the air, and Cooper Snyder added 102 yards on the ground with three rushing touchdowns. Tripp Riordan added 78 receiving yards and a tip toe touchdown in the corner of the end zone the second quarter.

Will Jackson led Frisco Liberty (0-7, 0-5) on the night with 145 yards passing and two touchdowns, while also adding 101 yards on the ground and a score.
