Jaden Hodge returned the opening kickoff 94 yards and added two more first quarter touchdowns to help Hillcrest (4-1, 1-0) defeat Thomas Jefferson 56-0 on Homecoming.
Hillcrest coach Jacob Ramon emptied his bench, using seven running backs and eight receivers. Versatile Reggie Williams ran 25 yards for one score and caught a 17-yard pass from quarterback Luke Monter. Hillcrest quarterback Carter Smith caught a 10-yard scoring pass from fellow quarterback Luke Monter that demonstrated the home team's depth.
In addition to Hodge's kickoff return, Hillcrest recovered a Thomas Jefferson (1-4, 0-1) fumble in the end zone and added a safety.
