Conrad sophomore running backs Carlos Walker and Marcus Johnson each hit 100 yards rushing to lead Conrad to a 34-13 District 6-5AII victory over Samuell on Friday night.

Conrad (4-0, 1-0) scored three fourth-quarter touchdowns to turn a 16-13 game into a comfortable three-score win. Ladavian Frost-Harris threw two fourth-quarter touchdowns to DeAnthony Flagge from 6 and 14 yards out, both on fourth down.

Samuell (1-3, 0-1) quarterback Xzavion Beard threw for 80 yards and ran for 125 yards and a touchdown. Javeon Busby added 69 yards and a 2-yard touchdown run to open the scoring, but Conrad’s Jaquarius Gordon then took the ensuing kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown, followed by a successful two-point conversion run by Walker to erase their team’s only deficit.

Johnson finished with 145 yards on nine carries, and Walker had 100 yards on 11 rushes.
