Quarterback Kabram Washington passed for 277 yards and three touchdowns to lead Adamson past Thomas Jefferson 50-0 in the District 6-5A Division II opener for both squads at Loos Stadium.
Following a sluggish start, Adamson (1-3, 1-0) exploded in the second quarter behind the right arm of Washington. The senior tossed scoring passes of 17, 57 and 11 yards to Gary Flowers, Luis Cruz and Isaiah Torres, respectively, to give Adamson a 21-0 halftime advantage.
Washington then put the game out of reach with his feet in the third quarter as he scrambled for an 11-yard touchdown run enabling Adamson to coast to the victory.
Adamson turned in an equally impressive performance on the defensive side, limiting Thomas Jefferson (1-3, 0-1) to just three first downs and 25 total yards.
