NORTH RICHLAND HILLS — Jarion Basped threw for 224 yards and four touchdowns, leading Everman to a 40-14 win over Haltom.

After an Errick Mills 60-yard rush on the opening play, Basped scored on a 8-yard run to start the game. Everman then recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff, which led to Basped finding Kameron Scruggs for a 34-yard touchdown to take a quick 14-0 lead. Mills led Everman (1-0) in rushing with 148 yards.

Devan Powell led Haltom (0-1) with 63 rushing yards and a touchdown.
