Lake Highlands -- Deonte Dean and Shamar Donaldson accounted for five touchdowns in the first half as Lake Highland cruised past Irving 42-0 on Friday night.

Lake Highlands will take on South Grand Prairie in the first round of the Class 6A, Division I playoffs next week at the Gopher-Warrior Bowl.

Two major defensive stops in Irving’s territory lead to 14 points from Dean early in the second quarter. Dean rushed for 149 yards on twelve attempts, piling in three touchdowns that gave Lake Highland (8-2, 5-2, in District 7-6A) a steep 35-0 lead early in the game.

Donaldson accounted for 92 yards on just three receptions and two touchdowns in the first half of their 42-0 victory. Tripp Holley completed only six passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns before all starters were taken out of the game.
