FRISCO -- The dynamic duo of Sentel Simpson and Kam Bailey helped Frisco Panther Creek defeat Carrollton Ranchview 59-7 at the Star Friday night. Bailey and Simpson combined for a total of four touchdowns in the first quarter to lead a dominant offensive performance for the Panthers.

With the win Panther Creek (3-6, 3-2 District 7-4A) has secured a spot in the playoffs, while Ranchview (2-8, 1-5) has been eliminated from postseason contention.

Panther Creek quarterback Michael Adams connected with Bailey for a 64-yard touchdown pass on the second offensive play of the game to give his team an early lead. He finished the night with 226 passing yards and three touchdowns.

Defensive backs Charles Bell and Kam Bailey each had interceptions in the first half which led to scores, helping Panther Creek build its lead. Safety Seth Jackson had a pick-six in the third quarter, followed by another interception by teammate Brycen Spencer. Defensive back William Bell also had an interception, topping off a strong defensive performance for Panther Creek.

Gary Simms was Panther Creek's leading rusher in the win, finishing with 90 yards on nine carries with two touchdowns.

Carrollton Ranchview running back Jaeden Lester broke for a 70-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for its only score on the night. Lester rushed for 90 yards on six carries and one touchdown.
