ARLINGTON – Naszae Otieno rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown to lead Arlington Seguin to a 29-14 victory over Aubrey at Choctaw Stadium.
While holding a 15-7 lead late in the third quarter, Seguin stopped Aubrey on fourth down at the Sequin 37-yard line. Seguin then marched 67 yards on the ensuing drive capped by an 11-yard touchdown pass from Sirwan Evans to Carterrious Brown. Otieno later put the game out of reach with a 19-yard touchdown run.
Seguin (1-2) opened the scoring when Evans connected with John Dantzler on a 31-yard touchdown. The play was made possible by a 4th-down conversion when Naszir Otieno hauled in a 31-yard pass from Diesel Gordon. On their next series, JJ Johnson scored on a 22-yard reception from Evans to push Sequin to a 15-0 lead.
Seguin’s defense held Aubrey to 68 second half yards in a game marred by 21 total penalties.
Aubrey (1-2) was led by Emerson Cagle with 141 yards and two touchdowns.
