THE COLONY – Burleson Centennial’s Phillip Hamilton orchestrated an offensive show as he led Burleson Centennial to a 49-10 District 3-5AI win over The Colony. Hamilton rushed for 103 yards and a score and passed for 94 yards and two scores. Hamilton also added an interception return for a score.
Elijah Zeh also garnered plenty of rushing yards, finishing with 127 and a touchdown while fellow back Jahiem Ababio added another 37 yards.
Centennial finished with 436 total yards.
Hamilton connected with Luke Dotter for 88 yards and two scores, all in the first half.
Centennial (4-0, 1-0) held The Colony to just a 39-yard field goal in the first half to post a 35-3 lead at intermission.
The Colony’s Carson Cox was the workhorse, carrying 18 times but was only able to manage 73 yards. Late in the game, The Colony (1-3, 1-1) running back, Rodney Gould, got loose for a 67-yard TD run.
