ALEDO -- Hauss Hejny passed for two touchdowns and ran for another two scores as Aledo beat The Colony 52-7 in a District 3-5A Division I game Friday night at Bearcat Stadium.
Hejny accounted for 302 total yards, passing for 245 yards on just seven completions. He added 57 on the ground, averaging more than ten yards per carry. Hawk Patrick-Daniels added 60 yards on 12 carries, scoring once.
Davhon Keys made an impact on both offense and defense, scoring on a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and returning an intercepted pass 77 yards to the end zone in the second quarter. Aledo (4-2, 4-0) led 21-0 at the end of the first and 42-7 at half.
Aledo’s defense forced three turnovers – two interceptions and one fumble recovery.
Carson Cox led The Colony (1-5, 1-3) with 169 passing yards and 28 rushing yards. His 18-yard scamper in the first half was the only touchdown scored by the team. Top target Alex Elam caught 11 passes for 112 yards.
