CARROLLTON -- William Torres and Chris Figueroa both scored two touchdowns and Carrollton R.L. Turner (1-1) won its first game of the year 62-0 behind its rushing attack to beat Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis (0-2) at Standridge Stadium Thursday night.

Torres scored a 69-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage, finishing with 89 yards rushing. He also had a 59-yard touchdown reception from Edgar Castillo to start the second half.

Adam Armendarez intercepted two passes, returning one for a 27-yard touchdown, to help account for four interceptions by R.L. Turner’s strong defensive performance. R.L. Turner allowed just 56 yards. The game had a running clock in the second half. Five R.L. Turner players rushed for touchdowns.
