FRISCO-Patrick Burke passed for 113 yards and two touchdowns as Episcopal School of Dallas remained unbeaten and dominated Gladewater Sabine, 54-0, in a non-district contest at Ford Center at the Star. Jackson Pennington intercepted two passes and recovered a fumble—all in the first quarter.
ESD scored on the first offensive play from scrimmage when Collin Nicholson scored on a 36-yard run. Nick Wheeler returned the opening kickoff 54 yards. Three plays later Jackson Pennington intercepted a Sabine pass and returned it 25 yards for the touchdown to make it 13-0 just 70 seconds into the game.
Burke passed six yards to Blair Brennan on the next offensive series making it 20-0 with 6:33 remaining in the first quarter. Nicholson scored for the second time on a nine-yard run on the next series.
Sabine (1-4) turned it over four times in the first quarter and trailed 41-0.
ESD (5-0) racked up 283 yards in the first half and led 51-0.
