Quarterback Zac Robison passed for one touchdown and ran for another to lead Dallas Shelton (3-2, 0-0, TAPPS 2-III) to a 31-16 victory over Arlington Newman International (0-5, 0-0, TCSAAL) in a non-district matchup at Charger Stadium.
Robison connected with Taylor Ogden on a 14-yard TD aerial on the game's opening possession, then on the next series, culminated a 16-play 85-yard drive with a six-yard scoring run in the second period.
Jan Kruger punched in a pair of short TD runs (two and one yards) in the last 3:24 of the second stanza, the latter coming with no time left on the clock as Shelton held a 28-0 lead at intermission.
Clay Brandenburg booted a 22-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter, before Arlington Newman scored a pair of late touchdowns -- both by Josh Olabode -- to account for the final score. Olobode raced 49 yards on a TD run and hauled in a 55-yard scoring strike from Josh Lowe, as Arlington Newman converted both two-point conversions.
Ogden tallied a game-high seven receptions for 101 yards for Shelton, while Robison finished with 148 passing yards, while adding another 62 on the ground.
