The only two teams that suffered losses in the Class 6A rankings this week were against the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the area.
Mansfield Lake Ridge brought an end to Waxahachie’s six-game win streak Tuesday night in a 9-1 win to extend its win streak to 31 games.
Denton Guyer also preserved its perfect start to the season, winning its second battle with Allen by a margin of 9-0.
Two of the area’s top 5A teams suffered two losses this week — Frisco Lone Star and Grapevine — allowing Argyle and Colleyville Heritage to climb up the rankings. Frisco Wakeland rejoined the top 10, as it now sits in first place in District 9-5A.
With playoffs starting next week, most teams have just one game remaining to solidify their seeding.
