Volleyball rankings (10/20): Arlington Martin rises to No. 1 after Flower Mound falls to FM Marcus

Lovejoy moves up to No. 2 in 5A after winning five-set thriller over McKinney North.

Flower Mound is ranked No. 1 in the state in Class 6A by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.

But Flower Mound is no longer No. 1 in The Dallas Morning News’ area rankings.

Flower Mound lost 25-20, 11-25, 25-22, 23-25, 15-8 to rival Flower Mound Marcus on Tuesday. That ended Flower Mound’s 17-match winning streak, and it brought Marcus (27-7, 10-2) and Plano West (26-7, 10-2) to within one match of District 6-6A leader Flower Mound (34-4, 11-1) with two matches to play.
