A South Texas man was arrested this week after police say he drunkenly groped a hotel clerk, ruined over $5,000 in equipment and kicked an officer in the face.

Cory Adams, 24, of Mathis, near Corpus Christi, faces seven charges in the incident.

The hotel clerk called police to report that Adams, who was walking around the Comfort Inn in only pajama pants, was harassing her.

While they were in the stairwell, she said, he groped her breasts, grabbed her by the neck and exposed himself.

When she got back to the front desk, he had sprayed two computers and other electronic equipment with a can of WD-40, causing nearly $5,600 in damage.

Police tried to question Adams, but he "was extremely intoxicated" and "had a hard time articulating" what events occurred, according to the affidavit.

When one officer tried to put Adams into the squad car, he kicked him in the cheek, leaving a golf ball-sized red mark on his face.

Adams was arrested on charges of failure to identify himself, assault by contact, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, public intoxication, indecent exposure and assaulting a public servant.
