CASA giving away casas. Win an elaborate playhouse while benefiting the social service agency

The 24th annual Parade of Playhouses benefits Dallas CASA. 17 playhouses are being raffled off at NorthPark Center.

Your kids could become the envy of all the neighborhood if they win one of 17 fancy and elaborate playhouses.

The 24th annual Parade of Playhouses is on display at NorthPark Center in Dallas. Money raised benefits Dallas CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates. Raffle tickets are being sold at NorthPark through July 28. One ticket costs $5, or you can grab 5 tickets for $20. Local architects and home builders designed and donated the playhouses.

Kathleen LaValle, president and CEO of Dallas CASA, says the organization is run by volunteers who represent the best interests of children who are in foster care. These volunteers gather information to help judges decide where the children can live safely and permanently.

The money from the raffle will help with recruiting and training expenses.

"There's no event that does more to raise awareness about our children who are in foster care," said LaValle. "We had 1,400 volunteer advocates last year in Dallas County, and it's still not enough."

The volunteers covered 85% of children who were removed from Dallas County homes. LaValle wants CASA to serve every child possible.

Winners will be announced on July 28. CASA will deliver the home for free, if you live within 50 miles of NorthPark.
