Driver dies after losing control of car near Wylie, authorities say

The man probably had tried to pass another vehicle ahead of a curve in unincorporated Dallas County, they say.

A man died early Sunday in a single-vehicle crash in unincorporated Dallas County after he lost control of his car while he was trying to pass another vehicle, officials say.

Investigators think the victim was 21-year-old Alexander Molina but say the medical examiner will confirm the identification.

Dallas County sheriff’s deputies responded to the accident about 1:15 a.m. at Vinson Road and Twin Creek Drive in unincorporated Dallas County. Deputies found a black 1997 Honda Civic with heavy damage to its front left and back right sides.
