Haltom City police are asking for help identifying a man who exposed himself to a Haltom High student Wednesday and may have groped another teen the following day.
The first incident took place about 8 a.m. Wednesday on Haltom Road near the school. A 17-year-old girl was walking to school when she encountered the suspect at Northern Cross Boulevard. They exchanged greetings and kept walking in opposite directions.
When the student reached High Pointe the man was standing at the intersection but did not speak to the girl. She kept walking north along a brick wall. When she reached a break in the wall, she saw the man masturbating with his pants pulled down, officers said.
The girl screamed at him and the man ran west into the neighborhood. She continued to the school and reported the incident to a school resource officer.
Police described the indecent exposure suspect as a white man who is about 5-foot-9 and between 20 and 25 years old with brown hair. He was wearing a dark green jacket and black pants, police said.
He had a similar build to the suspect in the assault, police said. That took place about 7:20 a.m. Thursday when a 16-year-old girl, also a student at Haltom High, was heading to the school from Buffalo Ridge Park.
The student was walking when a man ran up to her and grabbed her breasts, police said. He ran away west through the park.
