Many resources are available to those suffering economic difficulties during the coronavirus pandemic, but it can be difficult to to find them.
The city of Mesquite launched a website April 14 to collect some of those resources in one place so those looking for work, small business owners and others can find information in one place.
The site, roadmaptoresources.com, includes information on how to apply for small-business loans, where to request unemployment assistance and tips for e-commerce.
“We are trying to make the information and programs designed for business owners more accessible, as well as help those looking for employment understand the resources and where they can apply,” Director of Economic Development David Witcher said in a news release. "We’re in this together, and we’re here to help our Mesquite businesses and community members during this unprecedented time.”
The site will also feature a series of video lectures, the first of which features Bridget Moon of the Dallas/Fort Worth Small Business Administration District Office discussing the CARES loan program and is already live on the site or can be viewed below.
Future talks will discuss financing and lending, small business e-commerce, management and marketing, and jobs and unemployment resources.
