This summer, Grand Prairie is making it easier to track your water use

With a new digital program, the city and its residents are more in the know about H2O.

Summer water bills can be as sky-high as the season’s temperatures.

A new city of Grand Prairie initiative is making sure its residents don’t get scorched.

H2Know allows water customers to see their actual usage online—day or night. The digital water meters measure and transmit data in real time, meaning residents don’t have to be surprised by the monthly bill.

  • Automatic alerts for higher-than-normal usage
  • Residents can set a monthly budget, and when it’s been exceeded, they are notified.
  • High usage is flagged, as are suspected leaks with precise meter readings
  • Usage patterns for irrigation are monitored, meaning residents can better manage water frequency

An added bonus of the program is that the city can better manage its own repairs and leaks, as well as its water conservation programs.
