Arlington starts giving COVID-19 vaccines to health care workers and first responders

The city hopes to vaccinate up to 100 people an hour this week.

Arlington began giving COVID-19 vaccinations to first responders and front-line health care workers on Tuesday after receiving more than 3,000 doses of the vaccine produced by drugmaker Moderna.

The city has turned its Esports Stadium and Convention Center at 1200 Ballpark Way into a vaccination site, following a plan the city developed for this first week of vaccine distribution.

Eligible first responders and front-line health care workers must live or work in Arlington, Bedford, Colleyville, Dalworthington Gardens, D-FW International Airport, Euless, Grapevine, Hurst, Kennedale, Mansfield or Pantego.
