Mesquite residents may be eligible for help with home repairs following winter storm

To qualify, a family of four must have a household income less than $68,950 a year.

The winter storms are over, but they left behind burst pipes, collapsed ceiling and broken HVAC systems.

Some Mesquite homeowners are eligible for financial assistance as part of the city’s Emergency Home Repair Assistance Program.

Homeowners can apply for help with plumbing problems such as burst pipes and water heaters; electrical issues; roofs and HVAC repairs. Other issues, like flooring and appliances, are also eligible but considered lower priority, according to the application.
