Low-income renters in DeSoto who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic can get help from a city partnership with the nonprofit MINT Foundation.
Applications for the Texas Emergency Rental Assistance Program are now open for residents and landlords. Applicants are encouraged to to contact The MINT Foundation, which will screen applicants and arrange for payments to be made directly to landlords.
The program, specifically designed to support low-to-moderate income residents make their rental payments, is separate from the rental assistance program available through Dallas County, according to a news release from the city of DeSoto.
