Allen police will soon have new, 16-month-old, furry officer on board

Allen Police Department’s got a new best friend — the ultimutt partner — training to sniff out crimes around town.

The Allen Police Department’s newest officer, Koda, is younger than his fellow co-woofers. He’s 16 months old.

Koda’s also an out-of-towner, a German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois mix hailing from Hungary.

He’s the newest addition to Allen Police Department’s K9 officer crew, where he will join two other K9 officers, Echo and Knox.
