Texas blues-rocker Austin Meade to perform in McKinney

The Texas blues-rocker will play at Hank’s Texas Grill Dec. 10.

Texas rocker Austin Meade will stop in McKinney for a Dec. 10 performance at Hank’s Texas Grill in McKinney in support of his latest album.

“Still humming from the release of his 2021 full-length Black Sheep (which boasts the breakout single ‘Happier Alone’), Meade is back with an ambitious follow-up to his stellar debut on Snakefarm Records,” said Jon Freeman, president of Freeman Promotions. “The new album, Abstract Art of an Unstable Mind, is a generous 19-track affair that’s reminiscent of The Weeknd’s latest ‘Dawn FM’ from the other side of town.”

Freeman said the album, released Oct. 14, continues Meade’s “penchant for lyrical (and visual) storytelling, as shown through the trilogy of singles (Varsity Type, Red Roof Estates & Rosé Romance) that he released this summer.”

Each track on Meade’s Unstable Mind is described as “a scene in the latest feature film from one of rock n’ roll’s most charismatic and complex newcomers.”
