Grand Prairie hosts its first Small Business and Subcontractor Expo Jan. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m., at City Hall.
Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is preferred.
Visitors can connect with small business resources, including financial, legal, planning, Minority Woman Black Enterprise (MWBE) certification, workforce and more. Participants can also learn about upcoming city bids, how to do business with the city and building permit procedures.
How To classes on MWBE certification and doing business with Grand Prairie will be conducted in 15-minute intervals. Door prizes will be awarded through a business card raffle.
Subcontractors are encouraged to bring their capability statements to leave with the city’s construction staff.
This event expo is the first of several small business/entrepreneurship initiatives Grand Prairie will launch this year, according to a prepared statement.
