Where to get help in North Texas for fentanyl addiction

Here’s a list of crisis lines and support websites that can help you or someone you know struggling with fentanyl issues.

Editor’s note: This story was originally published in September 2023 as part of The Dallas Morning News’ “Deadly Fake” series examining fentanyl’s grip on North Texas. We’re bringing it back for National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day on Aug. 21, 2024.

Fentanyl has exacerbated the nation’s drug crisis in recent years because of its accessibility and potency. It is linked to more fatalities of Americans under 50 than any other cause of death, and has overtaken heroin as the drug most frequently involved in overdose deaths in the country.
