On Jan.1, the air conditioning industry faces a new challenge.
The Environmental Protection Agency will require all newly installed AC systems to use a new coolant called R-454B or R-32. Most of us have R-22 or R-410A in our system.

Some industry leaders fear the new coolant won’t cool as strongly as previous coolants.
