A clown lures a child into the woods in South Carolina. Creepy clowns in Ohio. Creepy clowns across America.
And they're in Texas! A clown sympathizer shut down a middle school in Corpus Christi. In Longview, a rogue clown eludes police.
And now even Plano, that bastion of North Texas suburbia and Top 10 Most Boring City in America, is freaking out over this Facebook photo from a mom's backyard.
It went viral, of course.
I am terrified of clowns and ever since I saw that pic of the clown in Plano I refuse to look out the window

Talk turned violent, of course.
The thing is, the clown in question was spotted nowhere near the suburbs of Dallas, but in Plano, Ky., where the legitimately spooked family actually lives. (There's no Atlantis Way in Plano, Texas.)
So holster your weapons, Texans. No clowns creeping across our lawns, though it's probably just a matter of time. Last week a vehicular clown was spotted tearing down the Virginia roadways, terrorizing drivers ... until it turned out to be an autistic boy in a Halloween mask.
Hmm. That might be something to consider before you arm up and join an anti-clown posse. Not all creepy clowns are evil clowns.
