A 23-year-old Texas woman could face a life sentence after she pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Arlene Viridiana Moya of Laredo was arrested in Mississippi in January after a traffic stop led to the discovery of 35 pounds of meth inside the car's fuel tank, officials said. The drugs were valued at $10 million.
The Rankin County Sheriff's Office announced then that the driver of the vehicle, 23-year-old Trisha Ibarra, was also arrested. Ibarra, also of Laredo, had a 3-month-old child.
Moya will be sentenced Nov. 27 in Mississippi and faces a maximum sentence of life in prison and a $10 million fine.
