Jordan Edwards' murder by police officer gets HBO treatment tonight

The killing of an innocent 15-year-old, Jordan Edwards, by a police officer in Balch Springs will be explored on HBO on Tuesday night.

HBO will explore the slaying of an innocent 15-year-old, Jordan Edwards, by a Balch Springs police officer in a program set to air Tuesday night.

In a news release, HBO said the season opener of Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel, which airs at 9 p.m., will feature exclusive crime-scene photos and police dashcam and bodycam footage.

Police videos and photos related to Jordan's murder were entered into the public record during the August trial for ex-officer Roy Oliver. The Dallas Morning News featured those videos throughout the trial and published an in-depth story earlier this month that included a behind-the-scenes look at how the case transpired for the prosecutors, defense attorneys and the families of both Oliver and Jordan.
