A motorcyclist eluded police after a chase that sped through seven cities, beginning in Forney and ending in Mesquite on Monday night.
Forney police attempted to make a traffic stop around 10:30 p.m., but the driver took off, police said.
The motorcyclist led officers through Mesquite, Garland, Dallas, Irving, Grapevine, Southlake and back through downtown Dallas before winding up in Mesquite again.
The hourlong chase ended at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Gus Thomasson Road, police said.
The driver fled on foot and hid inside the apartment complex, police said.
