A 21-year-old man was arrested after firing a gun through a window toward officers Sunday evening, Grand Prairie police say.
Officers were called about 5 p.m. to a report of a person with a weapon at an apartment complex in the 500 block of West Westchester Parkway, near South Carrier Parkway.
Police said Nathan Isreal, 21, had fired a gun while he was alone inside his girlfriend's home. No injuries were reported.
As officers arrived, Isreal fired through a window toward officers, police said.
The officers retreated and called SWAT. After about an hour of negotiations, Isreal surrendered.
He was booked into the Grand Prairie jail and faces a charge of aggravated assault against a peace officer. Additional charges are expected, police said.
Police said there had been rumors on social media that the incident occurred at a nearby movie theater, but said that was not true. No area businesses were affected, police said.
