3 juveniles in custody in murder case now face charges in second slaying, Dallas police say

The three have been implicated in the deaths of Adarryl Chaney and Thomas Scott.

Three juveniles who were already in custody in a murder case have been implicated in a second slaying, Dallas police said Wednesday.

Each of them faces an additional count of capital murder in the death of Adarryl Chaney.

Chaney, 24, was found shot to death late June 16 in a vehicle at the 4060 Preferred Place apartment complex, near South Westmoreland and West Camp Wisdom roads in the Red Bird area.

Police did not identify the juvenile suspects because of their ages but said they were the same trio who were charged with capital murder in the fatal shooting of Thomas Scott on June 20.

Scott, 43, was shot outside Sam’s Grocery in the 700 block of Ann Arbor Avenue in east Oak Cliff after he tried to flag down someone who was stealing his car, police said.

Jahquan Kartrell Ferguson, 19, also has been charged with capital murder in that case.
