Updated 12 p.m. July 9: Revised to include the name of the suspect.
An hours-long standoff with a barricaded person at a house near the southern end of White Rock Lake ended with the suspect in custody Wednesday evening.
Idrisa Mansaray, 29, faces one charge of criminal trespass and one charge of criminal mischief. He is being held at the Dallas County Jail with total bond set at $9,500.
Officers had initially responded about 2:30 p.m. to a burglary in progress at a residence in the 8200 block of Garland Road, just east of the intersection of Gaston and Grand avenues.
A person in the home told police that Mansaray was still inside the house, and the ensuing barricade situation ultimately drew more than two dozen units to the scene.
SWAT officers negotiated with Mansaray, who after several hours was taken into custody without incident.
No injuries were reported, police said.
